ASTM A333 Grade 7 Standard covers seamless and welded steel pipe for low temperature service. The ASTM A333 Grade 7 steel involved is similar to AISI 4032 low alloy steel. ASTM A333 Grade 7 pipe shall be made by the seamless or welding process with the addition of no filler metal in the welding operation. ASTM A333 Grade 7 covers seamless and welded steel pipe for low temperature service. The Grade 7 alloy steel involved is similar to AISI 4032 low alloy steel.

Bare packing/bundle packing/crate packing/wooden protection at the both sides of tubes and suitably protected for sea-worthly delivery or as requested.

Inspection and Test: Chemical Composition Inspection, Mechanical Properties Test(Tensile Strength,Yield Strength, Elongation, Flaring, Flattening, Bending, Hardness, Impact Test), Surface and Dimension Test,No-destructive Test, Hydrostatic Test.

Surface treatment: Oil-dip, Varnish, Passivation, Phosphating, Shot Blasting.
Both ends of each crate will indicate the order no., heat no., dimensions, weight and bundles or as requested.

Low Temperature Service Tube

A 334 specification describes Low temperature service tubes applied up to minus 150 degrees Fahrenheit. These tube are always provided in normalized condition with Charpy Impact V-Notch Test as per the temperature range requirements to assure compatibility with the applicable environments. Low temperature tube also known as   LTCS tube   abbreviated as LOW TEMPERATURE CARBON   STEEL tube . Since heavier wall thickness has an adverse effect on the low temperature impact properties, the size availability is limited in this specification. As per ASME sec II part D ASTM A334 tube and ASME SA 334 tube can be used only up to 375 degrees Celsius. The   ASTM A333   specification covers seamless and welded carbon steel pipes for low-temperature service (down to -150 degrees F). Specific nominal pipe size/schedule foreseen by the ASME B36.10 specification are not manufactured in A333 as higher wall thicknesses have a negative effect on the impact properties of the pipe at very low temperatures. Sizes 1/4” Nominal to 42”O.D. Wall Thickness – Schedule 10 through XXH Lengths required shall be specified on order.
